Dennis J. Rensel Honored for Excellence in Aviation and Aerospace Consultancy

Dennis Rensel supports major space initiatives for organizations in the defense and intelligence communities

    MCLEAN, VA, August 16, 2011 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ -- Dennis Rensel, Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in aviation and aerospace consultancy.

Mr. Rensel retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel following 25 years of dedicated military service. He then joined Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., where he has been an aviation and aerospace consultant for nearly a decade. Mr. Rensel utilizes his extensive knowledge as a space systems expert to support clients' air staff and major space initiatives for organizations in the defense, civil and intelligence communities. In addition, Mr. Rensel partners with such organizations as the National Space and Aeronautics Administration (NASA), U.S. Air Force Space Command, U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to accomplish specific objectives.

Mr. Rensel joined Booz Allen Hamilton in September 2002 and spent his first three years with the company focusing on analysis and policy support for the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense Programs. His work with industrial base studies offered a better understanding of the needs of the government and the challenges faced by the defense space industry. Mr. Rensel participated in 22 evaluations conducted by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, dealing with the proposed acquisitions filed under the Hart Scott Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act.

For his next three years with the company, Mr. Rensel supported the U.S. Air Force's Long Range Plans Division. He then spent eight months contributing to numerous Cross Section Space Team studies, and went on to spend two years supporting an intelligence agency's Office of Future Welfare Systems as a subject matter expert on space systems. Since August 2010, Mr. Rensel's focus has been on an intelligence community organization in the Space Supply and Industrial Base Division, serving as a directorate of system engineering. He is responsible for documenting the divison's ad hoc processes and working with the Office of Chief Architect to determine the unintentional consequences of Evolutionary Acquisitions. Furthermore, he has investigated industrial base issues in satellite programs.

Recognized as a VIP member of Cambridge Who's Who, Mr. Rensel credits the success he has enjoyed to the influence of a talented team in the communications and space industry. He enjoys the diversity and novelty of each of his job assignments, and looks forward to growing with the company in the coming years.

Mr. Rensel holds a JD from The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law, earned in 2001. He previously attained a Master of Science in electrical engineering with a concentration in electrical engineering and digital systems from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1980 and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science from the United States Air Force Academy in 1973. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he received a plethora of field-related training and education. Mr. Rensel's professional affiliations include the Air Force Association and the Institute of Electrical Engineering. A supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, he enjoys scouting, running and playing golf and softball in his spare time.
