David Miller offers management services to businesses experiencing financial and operational

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 20, 2010 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ --David Miller has successfully held executive leadership roles for several Fortune 100/500 organizations such as General Electric, Berkshire Hathaway, L-3 Commuinications and Rolls-Royce. He has been recognized by Cambridge 'Who's Who" for demonstrating dedication and excellence in people leadership by championing and leveraging human capital and enterprise innovations, leading to business turnarounds and the building of successful sustaining enterprises.
From April 2005 to late 2009 he was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of XOJET, Inc., an innovative private aviation company which gained significant success in the industry, leading to significant investments made by private equity firm TPG Capital in October 2007 and Aabar Investments of Abu Dhabi in May 2008, bringing the total funds raised to over $3billion of debt and equity in just 30 months.
In his current role at DM Advisors he offers management services to those businesses experiencing financial and operational difficulties by creatively and rapidly identifying ways to reduce operating costs, re-energize employees, while also ensuring that the focus always remains on delivering the safest and highest quality products and services, in achieving new sales and profit levels. He provides executive management, market research, business plans, strategic planning services, business process re-engineering, techncial and financial oversight of executive aircraft completions and modifications, as well as aircraft specification, acquisitions and sales.. In addition, he conducts market research, attends industry events, and is involved in business development initiatives for both domestic and international opportunities.
Throughout his career he has led five (5) business turnarounds, two (2) new company start-ups, has led numerous M&A initiatives, International Joint Ventures (Russia, Middle East & China) and is known for providing strong and proactive technical and executive management leadership.
His previous employers in the aerospace, aviation, telecommunications, high tech and industrial manufacturing industries have greatly benefitted from his leadership management skills and his ability to create and impart a strategic vision in the proactive execution of key strategies, contracts and operating costs to meet operational and financial targets.
Originally from the U.K. he began his career in 1978 as a graduate mechanical engineer at Rolls-Royce Ltd., before immigrating to Montreal, Canada, where he joined Canadian space prime contractor SPAR Aerospace in 1981 becoming Vice President in 1992. In 1994 he joined IMP Group International Inc., becoming VP/GM of the Aerospace Mfg division and then EVP & COO of the Aviation Group. After immigrating to the U.S. in 2000 to run a division of GE, he later became SVP at L-3 Communications and SVP at NetJets before co-founding XOJET. He attributes much of his success to his inquisitive and outgoing personality and his ability to step back and think outside-of-the-box in finding solutions to complex issues. Added to this, his people and motivational skills along with his strong core values, provides the ability and inspiration for people to pull together in achieving common goals, resulting in his proven ability to deliver outstanding results.
Over the years in his role as an aerospace executive, he has been involved in aero engines, satellites, space robotics, satcom systems, ground-based microwave communications, new aircraft design & manufacturing, aircraft modification, maintenance, executive aircraft completions and flight operations.
Mr. Miller is a 1991 graduate of McGill University's Executive Management Program (MBA core), He also holds GE Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, has completed Boeing's Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen/Accelerated Improvement Program, and completed Program Management certification from the Universite du Quebec and American Graduate University. In addition to this, he studied Physics at Concordia University in Montreal after earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Derby, U.K.
He has authored several Technical Papers on Design and Manufacture of space-qualified components and assemblies. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA), the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), the Institute of Production Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Looking ahead, Mr. Miller hopes to become the President & CEO of a successful medium-to-large public or private corporation that appreciates his talents and provides him the opportunity to demonstrate the exceptional value he brings to business enterprises and stakeholders.
