Don Smith Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Don Smith enjoys having an impact on quality management systems and continuous improvement processes
PLAISTOW, NH, December 1, 2010 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ --Don Smith, Director of Quality at Beckwood Services, Inc.'s Department of Quality Assurance & Reliability, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in quality management systems including, ISO 13845, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, AS 9100, and other related systems.
Mr. Smith is a RAB Certified ISO and Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor, an ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor, a Master Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, and a Project Management Professional. He has completed AS 9100 Auditor training, and is a student of lean manufacturing principles. Currently, he is tasked with overseeing Beckwood Services, Inc's Quality Management Systems including internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, training, document and data control, supplier audits, and other quality management factors. He is a six-time recipient of the Exceeding Expectations Award from Alcatel Lucent, and recently was the Quality Representative of Beckwood Services, Inc's receipt of "the Profitable Connection Award from the "Smaller Business Association of New England" (SBANES). He attributes his success to his understanding of what a quality management system should be.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), OASIS, and the Quest Forum. He enjoys participating at various sporting events for his grandchildren, as well as participating in motorcycle rides and events for several charitable causes annually.
