Hal Wilkerson Announces Upcoming Separation From the US Navy
US Naval Flight Officer Hal Wilkerson, successful Internet Entrepreneur and founder of HalWilkerson.com, has announced his separation from the US Navy. On June 30th, 2010, Hal will end his career that began in the days following September 11th, 2001.
HONOLULU, HI, January 24, 2010 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ -- US Naval Flight Officer Hal Wilkerson, successful Internet Entrepreneur and founder of HalWilkerson.com, has announced his upcoming separation from the US Navy. Effective June 30th, 2010, Hal Wilkerson will have completed a highly successful career as a Naval Officer that began in the days following September 11th, 2001.
During his highly successful Naval career, Hal served as the Vice-President of his Officer Candidate Class in Pensacola, FL, graduating as an Honor Graduate in both Academics and Military Discipline. Following Officer Candidate School, Hal was selected to attend the highly competitive Naval Aviation track at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida where he was trained as a Naval Flight Officer and selected for the elite Jet pipeline where he trained in the T-39 Sabreliner and T-2C Buckeye jet trainer in preparation for Aircraft Carrier flight operations. Following his training as a Naval Flight Officer, he earned the highly coveted US Navy 'Wings of Gold' and was selected to fly EA-6B Prowlers, the US Navy's premier Carrier-Based Electronic Attack Aircraft in support of the United States' Global War on Terror.
After completing his initial Fleet Readiness training in the EA-6B Prowler at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, Hal reported to his first Fleet Squadron, the VAQ-136 "Gauntlets", forward deployed to Atsugi, Japan, outside of Tokyo, and embarked on board the USS Kitty Hawk for a total of nine Western Pacific Patrols over the course of three years in support of the Global War on Terror and East Asian Diplomacy. During his tour in Japan, Hal accumulated over eight hundred flight hours and over two hundred arrested carrier landings, eighty of which were at night. His duties as a Gauntlet included serving as the Public Relations Officer, Special Investigation Officer, Electronic Warfare Training Officer and Personnel Officer at different times for VAQ-136.
Following his three years of sea duty in the Western Pacific, Hal was chosen for a Navy Liaison position on the General's staff of the 13th Air Force at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, where he is currently serving out the remainder of his commitment to the US Navy as the chief of the Electronic Warfare Coordination Cell for the 13th Air Force.
Hal has been nominated for the Joint Service Commendation Medal and organizational awards include the US Navy's Battle Efficiency award and the US Air Force's Meritorious Unit award. Hal has been recognized as an outstanding performer for his participation in multiple large scale command and control exercises and has been recognized for his leadership, knowledge and expertise in Electronic Warfare, as well as being a featured expert on the subject in multiple international military to military diplomatic exchanges, including India, Japan and others in Asia. Hal has also written articles that have been published in 'Tailhook' and 'Naval Aviation' magazines and also personally developed a classified blog dedicated to Airborne Electronic Warfare that has developed a large following on the US Military's SIPRNet.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Hal currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii and following his separation from the Navy, Hal will be expanding his current Internet Marketing business, HalWilkerson.com as a franchise owner and attraction marketing expert for Carbon Copy Pro based in New York, New York and Wealth Masters International, the premier wealth, health and wisdom consortium of new technology moguls and philanthropists.
