Sam E. Dupris Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

Sam E. Dupris is the First Native American to Be Inducted into the South Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame

    BLOOMINGTON, MN, November 4, 2009 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ -- Captain Sam E. Dupris retired as Project Manager, Saudi Arabian Flight Inspection Group, Presidency of Civil Aviation, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Captain Dupris has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in aviation.

Prior to Captain Dupris' employment with the Saudi Arabian Presidency of Civil Aviation, he was employed for 28 years with the United States Federal Aviation Administration as an Airspace System Inspection Pilot and Operations Officer. As an Airspace System Inspection Pilot, he was responsible for certification and the operational integrity of enroute and terminal aids to navigation in the National Airspace System.

Captain Dupris' 40 year career in aviation included several years as an Agriculture Pilot, Charter Pilot and Company Pilot. He has logged over 20,000 hours of flight time having spent 17 years of International flight time that included 5 years in Alaska, 3 years in the Far East and 9 years in Europe and the Middle East.

Mr. Dupris is employed as a Free Lance Consultant to State and US Government organizations regarding Native American issues.

In August, 2001, Captain Dupris, the first Native American ever, was inducted into the South Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame. He is proud to be recognized and honored for his accomplishments in Aviation. He attributes his success to discipline, determination and support from his wife and family.

Mr. Dupris spent 2 years in the US Army as a Paratrooper and is a Combat Decorated Veteran of the Korean Conflict and recipient of the prestigious Purple Heart.

Mr. Dupris is a Certified Airline Transport Pilot and received many years of advanced and technical Aviation training from the Federal Aviation Administration.
