Orlando Sanford International Airport Starts Six Month Project to Repave Primary Runway
Orlando Sanford International Airport has started a six month construction project on the airport's 9,600 foot primary runway.
SANFORD, FL, November 20, 2008 /Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ -- Orlando Sanford International Airport has started a six month construction project on the airport's 9,600 foot primary runway.
Diane Crews, vice president of administration at Orlando Sanford International Airport, said the work includes the pavement overlay of runway 9L-24R at a cost of $8.16 million.
Crews said the project is planned in phases and will be completed by the end of the spring.
"All runway work will be completed in time for our busy summer season," Crews said.
