Louise F. Trant Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Manufacturing Management

/Aerospace - Aviation PR News/ - Somerville, MA, June 13, 2008, Louise F. Trant, Manager of Aircraft Engines for GE, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in manufacturing management.
A 34-year veteran of her industry, Ms. Trant specializes in manufacturing afterburner products, overseeing manufacturing units, and handling all safety and environmental issues for the Structure Center of Excellence in Lynn of the Aviation Division of GE, which manufactures turbofans and jet, marine and aircraft engines. Before taking on her current position, she worked for GE as a business leader for afterburner parts, quality technical planning manager, manufacturing engineer, planning supervisor, quality control engineer and forewoman. A retired United States Army major, Ms. Trant has been stationed in Boston and has experience loading ships during Operation Desert Storm. She attributes her success to a combination of luck and hard work.
Ms. Trant attended Command and General Staff College and Boston State College, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics in 1974. She is affiliated with the Reserve Officer Association, the Association of the United States Army, the Elfun Society and the American Legion Auxiliary, for which she once served as president and currently serves as recording secretary of American Legion Unit 388. She expects to go into retirement within the next five years.
